September 2025 Edition: Power of Investing In Your Team
We just returned from an amazing few days at AADOM 2025, and we’re still riding the high! This conference continues to prove why the office manager community is such a vital part of successful dental practices.
This year, 25% of attendees were first-timers—and the excitement was palpable. Everyone we spoke to shared how valuable and energizing the experience was. It’s clear that AADOM is doing something right in building a space for leadership, learning, and connection.
We were proud to exhibit alongside 173 companies from across the country, all showing up to support and elevate dental office managers. As a coaching company, it was exciting to see so much focus on leadership development and team empowerment—two things that are absolutely essential to practice growth.
After such a powerful experience at AADOM, we wanted to share a few key takeaways and insights that can support you—and the practices you work with—as you navigate the path to greater clarity, connection, and success.
Insight of the Month: AI in the Dental Office
One of the biggest takeaways from this year’s AADOM conference? AI is no longer a futuristic concept—it’s here, and it’s practical.
We spent time learning about how AI is being integrated into everyday office workflows, and we were especially impressed by its role in improving efficiency, accuracy, and documentation. From clinical notes to perio charting to claim submissions, these tools are taking tasks that typically slow the team down—and making them faster, cleaner, and more consistent.
When we saw the AI notetaker in action, our immediate thought was, every office should have this. It was that good.
We know that many practices struggle with keeping clinical documentation consistent, managing time-consuming charting, and reducing delays or rejections in insurance claims. Smart AI tools are now offering real-time support in these areas—without disrupting the patient experience.
If your team is still doing everything manually, this might be the sign you’ve been waiting for to explore what’s possible with the right tech in place.
Success Story: Transforming Practices
Leadership can be isolating, especially for office managers and team leads balancing patient care, team dynamics, and doctor expectations.
That’s why we created the Team Lead Community—a monthly call where leaders from our client practices come together for real conversations, shared learning, and support.
We’re so grateful for the amazing members of this group. Their willingness to contribute ideas, ask questions, and support each other brings incredible value to every session.
When office leaders feel connected and confident, the entire practice benefits—and this community is proof of that.
Tip of the Month: Set a Goal that Sends Your Leaders to CE
One of the best investments a practice can make? Sending your team to continuing education events.
We saw firsthand at AADOM how energizing and impactful it is for office managers and team leads to step outside their day-to-day, learn something new, and connect with peers from across the country. These experiences don't just benefit the individual—they create ripple effects that elevate the entire team.
A simple and powerful idea: Set a clear, measurable goal that your office manager can work toward in order to earn a trip to next year’s AADOM conference (or another CE opportunity). This creates buy-in, shows appreciation, and builds leadership from within.
Your leaders will come back inspired—with fresh ideas, stronger confidence, and a renewed commitment to helping your practice grow.
